Health Benefits Firm Chooses Newport for National Headquarters

NEWS RELEASE

NEWPORT, R.I. –  Retiree Benefit Solutions© has relocated from South Kingstown, R.I., to Newport and, along with the move, has changed its name to KTP Advisors™.

According to company officials, the move to larger headquarters in Newport is aimed at accommodating its increased hiring over the past 18 months and having an attractive venue to host its corporate, municipal and institutional clients. “Newport is a nationally-recognized destination for not only tourists, but for our clients and business partners as well. It has all of the amenities for hosting meetings and conferences with our clients and partners.” explained the firm’s CEO and President, Mark Whitcher.

The name change was necessitated by the firm’s expansion into advisory, auditing, risk management and clinical services of pharmacy benefit plans for its clients’ current employees, Whitcher explained. “For the past decade, we’ve helped our clients consistently provide retiree health benefits at a cost of almost 10 percent below national averages without reducing the benefits or passing the costs onto the retirees. We’re confident that because of our distinctive clinically-focused and data-driven approach, we can achieve substantial savings for our clients.

The name change, said Whitcher, also reflects the firm’s long-standing basic operating principal underpinning its advisory services−“keeping the promise”−that it makes to clients that enable them to deliver promised health care and pharmacy benefits to their retirees and employees.
